135. Bausch & Lomb 'Unicum' Eyelid Shutter, c. 1900

Two blades are set and cocked by the speed dial with speeds 2-100 sec. controlled by the two pneumatic cylinders situated at either side of the casing, one for releasing the shutter and the other to provide delay for the slow speeds. The 'Unicum' shutter introduced in 1897 was made for a wide range of folding rollfilm and plate cameras well into this century.
