The rete is of the gothic (gothic arch) type. The rete is a replacementThis rete is quite possibly a later addition to this instrument. All the engraving is in a different (later ?) style and is made from gilded brass. The meridian line has been repaired where it meets the ecliptic at Virgo/Libra. Four star pointers within the eclipitic extend not from bulbs but from square blocks.The zodiac on the rete is labelled: Aries , Tauvus , Gemini , Cancer , Leo , Virgo , Libra , Scorpius , Sagitarius , Capricornus , Aquarius , Pisces
