BIOART AND BACTERIA: an artistic journey through antibiotics and the microbial world

BioArt and Bacteria is a contemporary art exhibition by internationally renowned artist Anna Dumitriu which explores our relationship with the microbial world, antibiotics and technology. Bacteria lie at the centre of Dumitriu’s ground-breaking work, which combines traditional artistic media with contemporary science to produce artwork that is not only about bacteria but actually fused with them.

Oxford University museums and libraries celebrate public engagement awards

Two University museums – the Oxford University Museum of Natural History and the Museum of the History of Science – and the Bodleian Libraries have all won awards in this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Public Engagement with Research Awards. The awards celebrate public engagement work across the University of Oxford.
