Visiting the Museum
Admission to the museum is free and the museum’s opening hours are listed in the right-hand sidebar.
A map, directions, and the location of the museum can be found here.
Group Visits & Tours
Prior booking of groups is strongly recommended to ensure entry during busy periods. To book, please call 01865 277280 or email: museum@mhs.ox.ac.uk.
We are a small museum, so large groups are asked to split into smaller groups of 15 or fewer. During busy periods we may need to limit entry to one small group at a time.
Please ensure adequate supervision of groups of under 18s – groups of students without adequate supervision may be turned away.
Guided tours of the Museum can be arranged for your group at a small cost. Please contact the Museum for more information about this.
For information about taught sessions for visiting school groups, please see our ‘Schools and Teachers’ section here.
EFL students at the Museum
We welcome visits from groups of EFL students from the many language schools in Oxford and throughout the UK. More information and resources for EFL group visits can be found here.
