Visiting the Museum
Admission to the Museum is free. The Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday with standard opening hours of 12 noon to 5pm (last admission at 4.45pm).

EFL students at the Museum
We welcome visits from groups of EFL students from the many language schools in Oxford and throughout the UK. More information and resources for EFL group visits is available.

There is lift access to the Basement Galleries (including the Special Exhibition Gallery). The lift can be accessed in the Sheldonian Yard through the gate to the left of the Museum. Please get in touch if you would like more information when planning a visit requiring disabled access by email or by telephone on 01865 277280.
The audio content can be listened to for free on the Museum’s website and is also available through the free wifi in the Museum. Transcripts of the audio guides can be borrowed from the front desk on your way into the Museum.
