The eighteenth-century London instrument maker George Adams chose 'Tycho Brahe's head' for his shop sign. Such was the continuing respect for Tycho that Adams was prepared to link his business identity to the reputation of the noble Dane. This box of 'Geometrical Solid Bodies' carries the address on its outside on an inlaid ivory plate.
