The Notorious Simon Forman

Listen to a public lecture by Dr Lauren Kassell

In the third in our series of ECCENTRICITY lectures, Dr Lauren Kassell talked about the notorious astrologer, physic and necromancer, Simon Forman. He is famously quoted as saying “It is a comfort to the unfortunate to have companions in woe”. Well he should know; he was unfortunate enough to be jailed several times during his not-so-illustrious career! This lecture is now available as a podcast (below).
