Small Worlds - the art of the invisible
(31 October 2007 - 6 April 2008)

Immerse yourself in the stunning world of the microscopic this winter with sumptuous microbe-patterned wallpaper and curtains, gilt-framed microscopic slides, and dynamic audio poems and animations. This stunning new exhibition at the Museum of the History of Science is an innovative creative representation of over 10,000 microscopic slides in the museum’s collection.

Artist Heather Barnett specialises in exploring the intersection between contemporary art, science and technology. She has worked in collaboration with performance poet Will Holloway to create an engaging site-specific body of work in image, animation and poetry in a strikingly designed immersive exhibition environment.
