The Museum’s collection contains several different types of globes amongst which are some fine examples from the Islamic tradition,  a number of early modern European globes, and 18th-century globes by well known English makers. There are also globes adapted to specific practical purposes such as navigational instruments, educational use, and time-telling.

This resource is intended to provide easy access to notable examples, although more globes from the collection can be found using the collections online searchable database.
