Text:
This tuned circuit transmitter appears to be a commercial version of the experimental transmitter of 1899. It can be dated post- March 1900 as plaque states manufacturer as "Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Company Ltd." which was adopted March 1900. Marconi introduced 'tuning' into his transmitter and receiver in 1899. This arrangement yielded more sustained oscillations, thereby greatly reducing the mutual interference which had previously been experienced. This allowed more than one wireless channel to operate at the same time, without interference. This idea was the basis of his famous '7777' patent of 1900.
