The Horn Loudspeaker Type AR19 (Standard Dragon) was made by Graham Amplion Ltd of London in 1923. The development of loudspeakers in the early 1920s coincided with the development of receiver'>valve receivers powerful enough to drive them. Loudspeakers changed the nature the listeners of public radio broadcasting from that of a solitary individual with headphones to a group (usually a family) listening around a loudspeaker.
