Brass; 63 mm in diameter

The external part of the ring is marked with the names of the months 'IAN', 'FEB', 'MAR'.... with the corresponding initials of the signs of the zodiac 'C{apricornus}', 'A{quarius}', 'P{isces}' and so on, and below the letters 'G', 'H', 'F', 'F', 'E', 'E', 'D', 'D', 'D', 'C', 'D', 'E'. On the side of the signature 'HIERONIMUS ? VVLPARIA FLORENTINVS ? FA ANO ? D ? M ? C ?LXVI ? AD ?INCLINAT? PART? 43 XIII' is the indication 'SOL IN SIGNO'. On the inner side of the ring are engraved parallel scales of Italian hours and the initials 'G{irolamo} ? V{olpara}? F{irenze}'.
