Compass
Unsigned
15th century ?; English
Brass; 32 mm in diameter

The compass case, now in poor condition, probably belonged to a horizontal compass dial and was found in Suffolk. It was formerly in the collection of Lewis Evans, to whom it was sold as Roman.
