Surveying Rod

Wood and gilt brass; 910 mm in length

The rod consists of a square section case, divided in inches and feet but not numbered. On the top and on one edge are small brass cases, possibly for keeping a sight and a plummet. There is also a black wooden rod with a brass folding sight hinged on one end.
