This very unusual instrument, by the renowned German maker Tobias Volckmer, consists of a square plate with a horary quadrant and a sinical quadrant, and scales for gunnery.

A very similar instrument, also by Volckmer, is in the Museo di Storia della Scienza in Florence (Epact 94421).
