Length: 1-2 hours (adaptable)

This is an opportunity for art students to gain insights into the origins of perspective drawing in the Renaissance and to experience the use of drawing instruments such as the camera obscura and the camera lucida.

A brief introductory session will look at the use of perspective during the Renaissance and experiments with perspective by twentieth century artists

Students will have the opportunity to make drawings using camera obscura and camera lucida. This can be followed by exercises in the use of grids to scale drawings up to a large size.
