Brief Description: | A cylindrical pillar stands on a heavy horseshoe foot. The stage is mounted at the top of the pillar. It consists of two plates with a gap between them. A short, chromium plated cylinder is attached to the underside of the stage and two spring clips, to hold slides, are set on the upper surface. A rack and pinion, operated by two mill-edged knobs, at the rear of the pillar raises a post to which an arm is attached. A tube is set vertically at the end of the tube and an objective lens is screwed into the lower end. A prism, mounted on a pivoting arm is mounted on the instrument by a collar that fits the tube. | ||||||||||
