Brief Description: Gold-plated copper alloy bowl with vertical sides and small opening at its centre. Contains six gold-plated copper alloy discs that also have small central openings. The bowl and discs are inscribed with Arabic letters and numerals and ornately decorated with images. The bowl has illustrations that include a cow, a big cat, a fish, scales and two people. One of the discs depicts four donkeys, another has four mermaids and another disc has four big cats. With a tag: "'Uighur astrolabe' A form of magic bowl from central Asia. Billmeir coll."
