Brief Description: Presumably for a Jesuit client.
Main plate cracked and held together by hinges to upper leaf. All components disassembled (cover glass snapped). Nicely demonstrates the mechanism for sliding the hour ring.
Primary Inscriptions: "Charles Bloud ADieppe" engraved on calendar volvelle and "C Bloud ADieppe" printed in compass bowl. "IHS" engraved on 1a
Provenance: Presented to the University by Lewis Evans with his collection. Purchased by Lewis Evans from Lagermann in Munich in 1910 as part of Lagermann's collection as a whole ('Lagermann' may be read as 'Jagermann' or 'Yagerman' - nothing else is known of him).
