Gilt and silvered brass. Signed, "HOC OPVS HOROLOGIVM GENERALE FECIT VLRICVS SCHNIEP DE MONACO [i.e. of Munich]; undated.

Includes:
1. A nocturnal combined with a volvelle giving the length of day and night throughout the year in latitudes 58°, 41°, 44°, 47° and 50°.

2. A universal equinoctial dial for Italian hours and ordinary hours, adjustable for use in latitudes 0°-72°.

3. A compass, with a wind- and compass-rose, and a scale of degrees for adjusting the compass-plate to the magnetic declination.

4. A circular table of the latitudes of 32 places.
