Objective lenses screw into the ring. A bracket at the top of the pillar takes the dovetail bar that holds the ring stage, which has a pinhole for accessories. The mount for the mirror pushes into a hole though the pillar.

The mahogany box is lined with blue and green velvet. There are also three objectives, a dished glass disk that fits the stage and stage forceps.
