Brief Description: | Gilt brass box in the shape of a crucifix, with its small magnetic compass missing. The dial is adjustable for latitudes 0° to 80°. On one side of the cross is an engraving of the Crucifixion, and on the other side, a coat of arms and the motto "Nil admirari", together with scales marked "Partes umbrae" and "Gradus altititudinis". | ||||||||||
