Brief Description: According to Lewis Evans's card catalogue, Ferchel published in 1841.
Arch-shaped base plate with three levelling feet (one missing); inset compass; folding latitude quadrant with toothed edge; hinged hour plate with internal gearing (some of the gear wheels have become dismounted) and index arm with geared minute dial. The sights are missing.
Primary Inscriptions: "Erfunden durch / Joseph Ferchel / Königs. bays. Geometer. Verfertigt A. Zimermañ"
