Brief Description: A compound eyepiece pushes into draw tube in the top of the brass body, which is held in a brass sleeve. A nose with button objectives screws into the lower end of the body. A vertical pillar extends from one side of the rectangular stage plate, which carries an arm supporting the optical components. A superstage condenser lens is mounted on an articulated arm, on a collar that fits on the sleeve. The stage stands on a cylinder on a circular weighted base. A window is cut in the front of the cylinder to allow light to the concave mirror mounted on a spindle within. The mahogany case also contains a second eyepiece and nosepiece.
Primary Inscriptions: "G. Oberhaeuser, Place Dauphine, Paris" Box stamped with the serial no. 1974.
