Brief Description: This brass instrument stands on a flat tripod foot. The lower part of the pillar is turned. Above this the pillar has a rectangular section and a slot cut with rack work. The circular stage is mounted on this section and moves for focusing. A vertical screw on side of the pillar adjusts the fine focus. The body tube screws into a ring on a hinged bracket at the top of the pillar. The body has an eyepiece with a sliding dust cover and a field lens. The narrow lower end has an external thread for objectives. The accessories with this instrument are a three hole stage, two objectives one with a Lieberkuhn, four glass discs, a black and white disc, a circular spring stage, a fishplate, a wet cell a Lieberkuhn can, a Lieberkuhn carrier and three ivory sliders. The case is covered in black fishskin and lined with green velvet.
