Brief Description: Black-finished brass instrument, sighting tube set at an angle with lens, and on top a glass prism that can be pivoted in the horizontal axis and two semicircular dark glass filters, and on its frame support a bubble level, in box. Associated with this instrument is a black-finished prism housing of the type used with the Mercury Artificial Horizons.
Primary Inscriptions: Unsigned and undated.
Provenance: Presented by M.F.C.R.O.J. Gall. Said to have been used by 'Dr Rhodes', presumably Cecil Rhodes (1853-1902).
