Brief Description: The polariscope consists of a square sectioned pillar which stands on a heavy circular base. Three sliding sleeves on the pillar, each with a tightening screw carry the optical components. At the top is an eyepiece, with no lenses, that fits into a ring. The upper surface of the ring has graduations from zero to ninety degrees in two directions. Below this is a ring holding a short tube with a condenser lens system. Another, larger condenser is mounted below the first. The additional accessory consist of a glass prism attached to a movable arm which is supported by a circular base.
