Brief Description: Ivory rectangular protractor with various scales, some picked out in red. The style F. H. & C. Elliott was used only briefly about 1853/54, between the death of William Elliott in 1853 and the adoption of the name Elliott Brothers; the brothers were Frederick Henry Elliott and Charles Alfred Elliott.
Primary Inscriptions: "F. H. & C. ELLIOTT. 56 STRAND. LONDON" and "A. S. HUNTER" stamped around the scales of equal parts on the obverse; the latter presumably the first owner.
