Brief Description: Mater; rete for 27 stars; 3 plates; alidade. Silvery rivets at the base of the star-pointers and 3 knobs for turning. There are traces of red colouring in the engraving.
Primary Inscriptions: "Its maker is the humble servant of his God, Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Battuti, God support him. A.H. 1141" on the back.
Provenance: Presented by Lewis Evans Bought by him in 1909.
