|Brief Description:||German compound microscope of the Nuremberg style with mirror, lower draw tube and nosepiece, upper draw tube and eyepiece, dust cover, objective, slider and slider case. The turned microscope's wooden base stands on three bun feet. At its centre is a plane mirror in a tilting wooden mount. Three turned legs support the circular stage and body. At the base of the body a spring pushes a wooden plate down onto the stage to hold specimens. The body, and two draw tubes that push into it, are of pasteboard covered with decorated paper. The eyepiece and nose are of wood. There is an eye lens, a field lens and objective. The eyepiece has an external thread and a dust cover. There is also a wooden slider, with six windows, and a paper case.|
