Brief Description: Vanes of oiled cloth rotate around a central silvered dial with six small dials recording the speed of rotation; secured to copper alloy frame with carrying handle. The whole is in a wooden carrying box with leather straps. For use in mines to monitor airflow. Inscriptions: "Biram's Patent, Davis Optician Derby" on dial, and serial number 314 on base.
