Brief Description: Morse Tape Inker (or Ink-Writer), of lacquered brass, on mahogany base with paper spool-in drawer. With two brass terminals on surface of mahogany base. This particular model has been restored and refurbished to working condition as it was in 1901. Otherwise it is an identical model to another Morse Tape Inker (Inv. Num. 71246). There is also a t-shaped winding key, plastic pipette and a typed note on its use.
Primary Inscriptions: "MARCONI'S / WIRELESS / TELEGRAPH CO LTD / No 87" inscribed on side of object. "MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELERGRAPH CO. LTD." etched into upper surface of mahogany base.
