|Brief Description:||Gould-Type microscope, manufactured by Cary. A rackwork pillar screws into the top of the mahogany case. An arm is mounted to the top of the pillar for attaching the conical shaped body tube. The stage plate inserts into the pillar's rackwork and has two pinholes for accessories.|
The instrument is stored in a mahogany case which forms the base for the microscope. The interior is fitted with green felt lined fittings. The case contains the following accessories: Three objectives of different powers, a stage forceps, mirror in horseshoe mount, live-box, bull's eye lens in horseshoe mount, tweezers, and ivory black/white disc.
