Brief Description: Electromagnetic demonstration lantern slide mounted in a wooden frame. The top is made up of a metal coil with two brass-coloured screw pegs in the top and a coil at the bottom; these are linked to the centre where there are two sections of glass, surrounded by brass-coloured metal, housing small arrow-shaped magnetic needles mounted on metal pegs. When the coil and pegs at the top of the object were connected to a battery the tiny needles would align with the magnetic force. This was used to demonstrate the the magnetic lines of force.
