Brief Description: Oil portrait of John Locke. Framed, unglazed. Portrait depicts head and shoulders of John Locke in a painted frame with 'Lock' written onto the painted depicted frame. The actual frame is gilt. Reverse of the painting has later been secured in place with boards and copper alloy fittings. Four copper alloy fixings hold the painting in the frame. Has previously been restored.
