Brief Description: A cylindrical pillar stands on a flat tripod base. An inner pillar telescopes upwards and is held by a tightening screw. The optical components and light source are carried on a beam at the top of the stand. The joint allows the assembly to tilt and a lever locks it in position. The light source is positioned at one end of the beam and is powered by a separate transformer. The light passes though a glass chamber, a stage with a condenser and a projecting microscope, all on sliding mounts. The condenser and microscope have rack and pinion focusing. The microscope body tube has a rotating objective changer at one end. One of the three sockets holds an objective. A slot at the other end of the tube holds a projection lens.
