Brief Description: Pair of brass compasses, one smaller than the other, containing pencils. Contained in wood-lined slip case, covered in embossed paper. Small motif of acorns? stamped across break in slip case. Motif of "V" and "A" intertwined underneath a crown to left hand edge of label.
Primary Inscriptions: "PUBLIC SCHOOL PRIZE AWARDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND ART", on gummed ornate label on case. "DIEU ET MON DROIT", on gummed ornate label on case.
Provenance: Found in the Museum without provenance in 2003.
