|Brief Description:||Set of 9 micrometers encased in a fitted box with pull-off top. Scales range from 1/10th to 1/10,000th of an inch. Six of them (1/50, 1/100, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/5000, 1/10,000) are of etched glass set in brass copper alloy, two of them (1/100, and two scales of 1/50 and 1/100) are etched on Ivory, and one (1/10) is etched in silver. On each micrometer is engraved the scale magnitude. On the 1/500 one is etched "5000 or 25 Million Squares in an Inch"|
Box: wood covered with black fish skin, probably shark skin.
