Brief Description: | Instrument sits on a cylindrical base containing a clockwork mechanism. Instrument sits on top of a central pillar. Instrument consists of a circular 24 hour clock face (divided between 1-12 morning hours and 1-12 afternoon hours). A semi-circular mount sits perpendicular to clock face. Mount holds a copper alloy arm designed to hold a mirror. Attached to side of arm is a crosshatched sighter for aligning arm with direction of the sun. Clockwork mechanism is controlled via two minute hand dials on base of device, along with a switch labelled 'A/R' and a dial labelled 'M/A'. | ||||||||||
