Brief Description: Wooden balancing netsuke with ivory details and unequal cord holes.

A Dutchman holding an egg up to his right eye with his right hand to verify freshness by its translucency. A basket containing eggs is slung from his right shoulder and rests on his left hip. The man is clothed in a European style of dress and is wearing typical Dutch clogs. Unusual treatment of the egg testing subject.

Signature on left foot. Signed Tan-ki.
