Brief Description: Steel urethral lithotome with ebony handle, manufactured by W.Pepys. Ebony handle is smooth with divot removed for depressing steel lever. Ebony handle is mounted on either side of main steel body of lithotome. Instrument has two curved blunt blades protecting a smaller, sharp cutting blade. This blade is raised by depressing steel lever above handle. Height of lever is determined by wingnut and screw mechanism. Lever has floral, leaf pattern engraved on it.
Instrument was used in the removal of bladder stones.
