Brief Description: Three shaped legs stand on a circular foot attached to the top of a square box with a drawer for accessories. The concave mirror is set in a horseshoe mount in the centre of the foot. The spring stage is supported on the legs and holds stage forceps and a bull's-eye lens. The body is covered in red shagreen. The inner draw tube is covered in green vellum, signed in gold lettering and has the focal positions marked. There are turned wood fittings for the lenses and a brass eyecup with a sliding dust cover.
Various accessories, including five objectives in brass cells, a second substage mirror (this is probably an intrusion), an ivory black and white disc, brass live box, ivory talc box and four ivory sliders in a cardboard case.
