Brief Description: Original stand is missing. The glass reservoir was filled with oil, the level of which fell as the oil was consumed in the wick of the lamp. Against this reservoir is a scale marked with the hours from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m.; the level of the remaining oil indicated the time on the scale.
