Brief Description: Rectangular piece if wood with red, orange, yellow, white, and black strings threaded through small holes. The holes are labelled A-E, G-H. Wood has a manuscript note pasted on the underside by F. A. Bellamy detailing the discovery, identification and refurbishment of the piece. Appears intended to be suspended by black string; area where yellow and white threads meet along the black thread labelled F with a paper label.
Primary Inscriptions: "Prop.4.Lib. XI." written on underside
Provenance: Presented by F. A. Bellamy; found in the Radcliffe Observatory; belonged to the Savilian professors' teaching apparatus.
