Brief Description: Simple microscope mounted on a mahogany and oak box containing the accessories. A baluster pillar that supports the oval mahogany stage and a plano-concave mirror is mounted onto the box. Through the stage runs a rectangular brass rod with an arm and objective holder. The rod is moved by rackwork via a brass key with an ivory blade. The front of the stage holds a glass disc for light from the mirror below that may be replaced by an ivory disc or a live-box. Accessories include: six simple objectives, a white disc, a live box, a brass spring clip and stage tweezers. The case is mahogany.
