Brief Description: Mater; rete for 29 stars (4 of the star-pointers are broken). The horse is a replacement. The alidade is missing.The scales round the rim are notched (to facilitate the use in poor light). The lines for Muslim prayers are roughly engraved on one of the plates.
Primary Inscriptions: "In the name of God. Made by Muhammad ibn Fattuh al-Khama'iri in the city of Seville in the year 618 of the Hijra" on the back of the kursi. Another inscription is on the mater (text in the text box).
Provenance: Presented by Lewis Evans Bought by Evans in Paris through Vitali (April 1910).
