Brief Description: Mater; rete; 4 plates; alidade; horse. The alidade is broken. The signature on the rim is much worn. One of the plates is marked as a tablet of horizons on one side and as a tablet of ecliptical co-ordinates on the other. A gazeteer of the latitude, longitude and inhiraf of 46 towns is engraved on the mater.On the back there is an astrological table of limits.
Primary Inscriptions: "Made for Abd ar-Razzaq Gilani in Mashhad in the month of Sha'ban of the year 1051" on the back of the kursi. Other inscriptions on the front of the kursi and along the rim.
Provenance: Presented by Lewis Evans Evans bought it in Paris in 1905.
