Brief Description: The object tube is a brass cylinder with a brass sleeve that slides over it. An external rack and pinion arrangement adjusts the position of the sleeve. The projection lens screws into the end of this sleeve. There is a slot behind the lens to take a brass plate with objectives. The stage is a heavy brass plate inside the object tube and held in place by an internal cylinder and a spring. The stage has a dovetail slot which carries a brass plate holding a condenser lens. This assembly is mounted on a draw tube that pushes into a cylinder with an external screw thread and a condensing lens. The square brass shutter plate is inscribed with the manufacturer's name, has two holes at opposite corners and a center hole with a thread to take the body. The rectangular mirror is attached to a hinge on the rear of the plate. A grub screw turned by a wing nut in a semicircular slot in the front of the plate alters the angle of the mirror. This assembly is mounted on a brass disc set in plate which can be turned, independent of the body by a second knob on the plate.
