|Brief Description:||The cylindrical brass pillar screws into a socket on the lid of the box. The horseshoe mount with the plane mirror is held by a screw near the base of the pillar. The stage is a rectangular brass plate and stage mounting can be racked up and down on the pillar, for focusing, by a mill-edged knob. A short arm is screwed to the top of the pillar, which supports a ring with an internal screw thread. The body-tube screws into the ring. The eyepiece pushes into the top of the body and the narrow nose has an external thread that takes the triple objective. The fitted box is mahogany. It also holds the glass slides and a live box.|
