Brief Description: Horary rule, 'secteur' on index amd horizontal dial with sprung folding gnomon with integral plummet and compass rotating against declination scale on square base with four feet. With two steel pins and original velvet-lined, fishskin-covered case, with silver fittings. Accompanied by Haye's 1716 book (now in Library).
Primary Inscriptions: "HAYE A PARIS" engraved on all three instrument
Provenance: Presented by J. A. Billmeir. Owned in 1929 by David Augusto Constantini and exhibited then at the 1st Esposizione Nazionale di Storia della Scienza, Florence
