Brief Description: The stand of this microscope is cast iron. It consists of a flat tripod foot, and a limb supported on trunions. The nickel plated body tube is held in a brass sleeve and can be racked up and down, for coarse focusing, by two brass knobs on the limb. The fine focus is controlled by a vertical screw on the nose. The Huygenian eyepiece is in a brass cylinder and pushes loosely into the top of the body. An objective screws into the nose. The stage is a brass plate with a short cylinder mounted on its underside. It has two spring clips and a pinhole. The plano-concave mirror is mounted on a sliding sleeve on a post that extends below the stage.
